The statements below are what we dream our community will hold dear and seek to become with God’s help. Join us as we learn and practice the way.
Learn Jesus Way & Love Our Neighbours.
-
We want to be an outward focussed community of faith, hope & love learning Jesus way so we can better love & serve our neighbours, our city & our world.
Shalom As Our Story
We are guided by the vision of Shalom in scripture. Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace but it means far more than peace i.e. wholeness, harmony, the way things are meant to be. A world made whole, where justice, joy, and peace take hold.
We want to join God in the renewal of all things. Wherever we see hell we want to bring the healing life of heaven.
Jesus invited us to pray, “May your will be done on earth as in heaven” which we understand to be, ‘shalom’ spreading everywhere.
We will hold space for both celebration and sorrow. Joy and lament will be welcome here.
Living Inclusion
We don’t just say inclusive, we live it.
Our commitment to LGBTQIA+ affirmation and diverse identities is core to who we are. Hospitality, safety, and belonging aren’t just practices, they’re sacred values lived out with fierce conviction. The world is better when we celebrate our diversity.
Deep Community
We’re not just building a church service we’re forming a spiritual village.
We eat, grieve, celebrate, sing, rest, serve our neighbours and grow together.
Church is more than a Sunday it’s a shared life.
We see a pathway for deep formation encompassing a practiced based faith, spiritual retreats and circle communities that create space for deep transformation.
Sacred Curiosity
We are a community of seekers and doubters, scholars and mystics.
We engage scripture deeply and honestly. Faith isn’t a finish line. It’s a journey of unfolding mystery.
So bring your questions and doubts and hopes. We are all in this together.
Justice is Worship
Faith must be embodied. We are committed to anti-racism, climate action, first nations people reconciliation and liberation from all systems that oppress people.
To love God is to love our neighbour and to seek their flourishing.
Creative Spirit
God is a Creator and we are co-creators.
We embrace music, art, movement and story as expressions of faith, justice, resistance, and imagination for a shalom world.
Our worship is vibrant, ancient, contemporary & accessible.
The Way of Jesus
We follow Jesus & his way, with humility, courage and compassion.
He teaches us to walk gently on the earth, to stand with the marginalised, and to love without condition. Jesus is our centre and our call.
This is his way…the way of sacrificial love.
A Community for the Community
We’re starting a church here in the Sutherland Shire on Dharawal Country, the land cared for by the First Nations people of this stunning coastal and bushland region.
We want to be a community for the community
those longing for something real.
A place where joy and lament can sit at the same table, where justice and beauty walk hand in hand, where questions are welcome, and creativity is sacred.
A creative, courageous, and Christ-centred community becoming fully alive in the way of Jesus which is the way of love.
Anchored in Shalom, grounded in love, and growing together.
We are part of the Uniting Church in Australia and the Synod of NSW & ACT.

Since we began over 40 years ago, we have been following Jesus, working for justice, growing as disciples and serving communities in these lands now called Australia.
From our capital cities to the heart of the outback, you will find around 1600 congregations and faith communities joyfully worshipping in more than 45 languages, including First Nations languages. In Australia’s 2021 Census, more than 670,000 people identified themselves as having an affiliation with the Uniting Church. In the work of our agencies we serve alongside local communities and our Church Partners across the Pacific, Asia and Africa to inspire a better world.
We believe all people are made in the image of God and deeply loved. As members of the Church, we make up the one body of Christ. We encourage one another to learn more about and grow with God, to care for each other and God's creation, to seek justice and to live lovingly in the world.ption text goes here

So, it’s fair to say we’re proudly Australian. Our Congregations reflect the multicultural face of our country – they’re inviting and embrace people from all corners of the globe.
We’re one of the largest Christian denomination in Australia. You’ll find us in Australia’s largest cities and most remote towns. We’re also the largest non-government provider of community services in Australia through our community services arm, Uniting (formerly known as UnitingCare NSW/ACT).
